I know the boys are chambering them in in their XP100 Specialty pistols and they are shooting well for them. Cheapest brass I have seen so far is $2.75 each
I am planning on doing a 28nosler build. will this require a large shank receiver or will a standard receiver work?

I'll say that small shank is ok. Many, including me, have done RUM sized rounds in small shank with no ill effect.

What is the likelihood that there will be "aftermarket" brass offered by different manufacturers? Or is this just how it goes: invent calibers in order to gouge customers for a spell then when the suppliers catch up, invent a new caliber? I just don't get it, but hey, to each their own.

Still isn't going to be cheap. You can make your own from RUM brass, but it is still expensive to buy and tough to find.
Nosler brass is tough to beat. Even if it is expensive.

And I thought 7 saum brass was expensive.... Don't really see much of an advantage for the nosler over the 7 saum or .284.

Now that my order is in for enough to last a lifetime. MidwayUSA is has 28 Nosler loaded ammo with 160g Accubonds for $43 per box of 20.
That's loaded ammo for way less than bare brass.

I believe I'd go with loaded ammo if it's cheaper. That way you can fireform it without having to load it the first round.
