Midway usa has the parts you need, very easy swap.
they even have the 6mm BR bbl listed on the site., not sure if its in stock yet though.
Hello all,
I have recently been looking around and found the Sharp Shooter Supplie's replacement barrels, and wanted to know how hard it was to convert a .223 Rem Savage Stevens 200 into 6mm BR Norma. I know where I can get the barrels, but I dont know how to get the replacement bolts for the larger diameter cartridge.
Thanks in advance!

Dont you need a bolt though?
I know where to get the barrels
No just the bolt head, Brownels would be my choice for it,just make sure you buy it complete(extractor, spring, ball bearing) and assemble inside a plastic bag.
Barrel go to NSS site(click on banner) then call him, emails don't work,He will have everything you need might even have the bolt head, very easy to talk to and he will not sell you anything that is not needed.Oh and don't forget the recoil lug.If Jim has the parts in stock it will not be a 6 month or longer wait.

Well you in luck, when you place your order for a barrel at SSS, you can get all the part you could possible need.
To change a 223 to a 6BR all you simply need is a barrel, and a bolt head. This would make it a single shot. You can buy a single shot ramp from SSS, and keep your cases from getting scratched up. If you still want it to be a repeater action, you would need a new magazine, and this would depsnd on what style of action you have., and SSS has them parts as well. There is a common problem with the Savage bolt head and that is it can have dificulty with ejecting short cartridges, and SSS has the fix for that as well. With that all said SSS is your one stop shop.
When you install a new bolt head do you have to reset the firing pin protrusion?
