    Thanks for checking Jim.
    I suspected as much and am glad they followed what seems to be an industry standard. There are lots of good devices from multiple manufacturers available using those patterns. I kinda figured this would be a good place to get an answer, I really couldn't find out much other than a couple of vague references I didn't trust on the web.

    I find it kinda interesting that the fcp-k .223 factory brake would have a different thread pattern using the 5/8x24.
    I wonder if this rifle pre dates the 10 precision carbine and the apparent adaptation of the industry standards used on them?
    Thanks for the input guys my .308 PC is on lay away. My local gun shop guy makes it easy to acquire nice stuff even when on a tight budget :)
