    bedding stevens 200


    Is there any benefit to bedding a Stevens 200? Seems almost pillar bedded now....rsbhunter

    not much, other than just practice for doing it to a good stock...LOL.

    Those stocks flex really bad in the forearm and recoil lug area. It will make a difference if your pillars arent currently flush or your recoil lug isnt making solid contact, but if all thats good then you may see a minimal gain if any at all.

    But if you do bed it and happen to mess up the stock, it is nice to know you can buy a brand new one for only $30 or so...LOL

    Yeah, the stocks aren't any thing to get excited about, it is amazing that these guns shoot as well as they do....My son in law and i took turns shooting, two shots each, and had a one hole group (@ 100 yds).....i still cant believe the accuracy of these rifles...rsbhunter
