Changing a bolt head on a timed/trued action...does it require any modifications, or get one stock from anywhere, or back to SS?

With the floating head I would change it out with a factory and reset the head space.
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!
Truing the front surface of the bolt head is part of the T & T process.
Oz never gave nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn't already have.
Go to SSS for a faced one? Special order?
Stuff another bolt head on it and go shooting. The surfaced bolt head face won't make the bolt open or close any easier.

A Nor Cal said, install another and go blast'n. The only reason to "true" a bolt head is to remove any dishing on the face and or chamfering on the edge of the pin hole, both of which generally amounts next to nothing.
I only do them because I can otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Each morning eat a live green toad, it will be the worst thing you'll have face all day.
Gotcha, thanks.
My pleasure :)................. er, thanks for what?
If you get a PT&G head the face is trued. The best of both worlds?
