    Stevens 200 chassis

Does anybody know of any company that makes a chassis for the stevens 200 short action?

Yes. Any Chassis that works for Savage 10/110 Short Action. What type are you looking for? What is your budget?

The best choice dollar for dollar is unarguably the MTD Oryx Chassis. It fit both Top & Bottom Bolt Releases, and will fit your Stevens. There are some a bit cheaper however. And of course, many more expensive with all sorts of features &
Doo-hickies! LOL. Also a few that mimic more traditional Stocks, but are mostly Aluminum.

Heh Dave thank you. I actually saw another post about the oryx shortly after I posted my comment. Been watching YouTube videos on it for about an hour or two. I think that’s the one I’m gonna go for.

Be sure to verify the action screw spacing of your Stevens action so you make sure you order the correct model.

With the Short Action, Screw Spacing is either the newer 4.4”, or the slightly shorter 4.275”. Most chassis for Savage Short Actions accommodate either. There was the 1st Gen SA at 4.522”, but it was discontinued in ‘87. Best thing is to measure, before ordering anything just to be sure. Very easy to do. If you have any trouble, just ask & we can walk you through it.

Thanks again. The stevens was bought new a little over 5 yrs ago. I’ve measured it before but I didn’t write it down and I forgot. So I’ll get that done and hopefully get the chassis ordered soon.

It’s 4.400” as a short Action. The Oryx or any other Chassis for Savage Short Action will work fine.

Manufacture date may have more influence on the spacing than purchase date. Check and make sure.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

I had a Stevens 200 that was 4.27" spacing...just measure yours yourself before spending the cash on a chassis/stock to make sure you what will fit...
