Your gun looks great.

I tried exactly what you did afew years back.I made sure to rough up the stock surface so the paint would adhere.
I had disappointing results, in that the Krylon textured paint, after an outing in some wet weather cracked and chipped off especially at the stocks high points. Hopefully yours won't do that.

I have used Rustoleum textured paint on several stocks with no problems whatso ever even climbing around in the rocks and clearly scuffing the stock against rough granite.
The Rustoleum paint appears to take all the abuse I can dish out.

I certainly hope you don't have any problems cause your paint job is miles ahead of that cheap looking tuperware stock finish.
