Congratulations....Hell of a nice buck!

Congratulations....Hell of a nice buck!
Definitely a beauty! Congrats
Beautiful buck, What county? I don't know much about that caliber but when I lived up there you couldn't hunt with anything but shotgun or black powder. Congratulations, very nice.
Thanks. I got it in Randolph County. I think it was around 1998 or so when Illinois began to allow handguns. Still alot of restrictions though. That is why I have a 30 Bellm only one of 2 known bottleneck cartridges that are 30 cal and a case lenght of 1.4".
That's great, I have a brother and friends hunting IL this weekend. My brother told me today that the bucks are really chasing the does now.
super nice buck ya got there!!!!!!
Gotta show a pic of the gun and the cartridge for us that arent familiar with that round.

I have a 17" ER Shaw barrel chambered to 30 Bellm by Mike Bellm with a Sin Arms radial muzzle break. Scope is 3x9 Nikon Prostaff BDC this is not an updated pic as I have a different scope now and need to paint everything digital again. Load was 125 Nosler BT with 31.5gr of H4198 at 2620fps. This shot was neck shot head on at 60 yards as he was trotting right at me after I was trying yo rattle 10 point that walked behind me about 15 minutes before shooting time. The first shot traveled high just below the spine until the front of tender loins. I had to put a second broadside shot in him about 45 minutes later when he suddenly stood up again.
30 Bellm is on the right. A 7mm BR necked up to 30 cal and shortened to 1.4". 44mag left i think a 30 herrett middle.
Looks like it has a rim in the pic - rimmed 7BR brass?
That brass is rimmed for a TC made from 444 marlin I think. I got the pic off Mike Bellm's website. I use 7mm BR.
Two more fall. Had 3 does at 175 yards. Shot the first one it went 20 yards and dropped. Nice lung/heart shot. The other two ran a bit and I shot the second one at 200, but hit the left front leg. Fired a second time at 225 which was a forward area gut shot. Recovered the 125 gr Nosler BT at 2620fps that hit the shoulder. There was complete core and jacket seperation. Very pleased this project has worked and accomplished what I built it for.
