How does an Atlas bipod mount?
I just recently purchased a Model 12 F/TR and would like to use a Atlas bipod with it. Does anybody know of an adapter designed to mate the to or would i just have to custom make a part?

Oddly enough... the same people that make the Atlas bipods make a variety of rail mounts

Small item of note: that adapter, in the fore-end rail of my 12 Palma w/ a BR barrel and a Centershot bipod mounted... kept slipping. Same adapter, in the rail of my 12F/TR... doesn't slip a bit ???
JP Enterprises also makes an adapter that I *think* fits - pretty sure someone I know is using this, just not sure if its this *exact* model...

Thanks when i looked at their web sight before posting i did not see that adapter ??? I guess it was a off day for me :D. By the way how do you like your F/TR? I have yet to shoot mine or any F/TR for that matter.Originally Posted by memilanuk

That said, it works and shoots very well. The stock isn't probably what I'd choose if I were building from the ground up, but its hard to argue with its performance. Biggest thing I'd suggest is getting a Karsten aftermarket saddle cheekpiece: more range of adjustment than the factory cheekpiece, and you can just lower it out of the way for cleaning vs. having to remove it entirely. Once you get your gun in you'll see what I mean.
