Just got a 22LR over 20 gauge with serial number D3661xx. This has a polymer trigger guard with barrel release incorporated, non walnut wood with purplish tinge and simple buckhorn type rear sight.
Does anyone have information as to when this one was made? How about a manual on this series of model 24? Does anyone know who makes any accessories designed to properly fit this model?

I know this is an older post, but in case you havn't found out yet, I have a couple of the 24 "Series S ".
they were made in 1965 and the wood is Birch.
Around here, you can find the odd S for around 50 - 75 $. Good Grouse guns for behind the seat or on the quad.
Model 24S
.22LR or .22Mag over .20ga or .410 bore made from 1964 to 1971.
Value ranges from around $350 in excellent condition to about $150 for decent.
Made in 1980.
