Hi all, I'm new to this forums but I've really enjoyed reading all the great info here. My first savage is still in the works a little, but nearly complete. (At least for now) I bought a lightly used savage model 11 in 308 with the centerfeed DBM. I rebarreled it with a McGowen matte SS 1-10", varmint 2 profile bbl. I've ordered the SSS recoil lug and tactical bolt handle. I mounted a Bushnell 3200 Elite Tactical 10x40 Mil/Mil scope in Warne permattach rings on Burris 2-piece steel picatinny mounts. I'm also waiting to receive 3 10rd mags. Next will be the new Choate tactical stock for this model. I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but I will VERY soon. Can't wait!

Well, I've already got black rifle disease. I'm so afflicted, and my checking account is so f......far gone! Lol
good luck with it at the range. I like the stainless and wood stock look. Just finished my first build as well, and it is stainless and wood.
Thanks teebird! I'm looking forward to getting to shoot it. I'm planning on eventually getting a choate stock for it. I just can't decide if I want to wait until the end of the year for the folding version, or get the tactical version now. Decisions, decisions......
I also like the look. I like a black action and a bead blasted stainless barrel. I have 4 Savages and soon to be 5. One of which is a predator that is getting rebarreled with a 1-9 lilja in a 17TAC. Yep, its addictive. #5 will be a 243, in a Max1 or 11BTH. Haven't decided yet.
