Hunter235, thanks for the info....might be fun to shoot a low recoil, reasonable noise level weapon .....after we have built up to the level of 50 BMG, we now all have dislocated shoulders and the habit of saying.......WHAT????
I just found this on the 6.5 Grendel Forum:
Triton Arms offers a 6.5 Grendel barrel for Savage bolt action rifles:

Just thought I'd pass it along.

If you stand for nothing, Then you'll fall for anything!
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 24" Alexander arms SS 6.5 Grendel barrel and matched bolt for my AR-15 I bought from Der Verge.
The older I get... the more I appreciate compact, low recoil, and efficient rounds. I think I'm becoming a recoil wimp, but I shoot better with my eyes open, my teeth unclinched, and my head still on the stock.

Not trying to hijack the thread but you will love the 24" AA bbl. I have one in 20" and it is a great shooter. I will probably have a large shank savage barrel built for a pistol just for the heck of it. I love the 6.5mm. Shooting a 6.5BR rifle and pistol along with a 6.5 X 47 lapua rifle in savage tgt actions. All great shooters. ;D
