ok,i appreciate it.thanks,marty
Bigger,
My model 12 LRPV single shot is 4.4".
huh.so they can be either.thanks,marty
Bogger, My old single shot action & the LRPV are two different actions. Which action are you refering to ??? Dale
its the old single shot varmint action.not the 3 screw target action
I'm stumped. I'm not familiar w/ all the variations of the target (single shot) action. Except the two that have been mentioned. I don't want to give you incorrect info. I suspect my action is probably the same as yours but w/ a different trigger. (accutrigger in mine) Maybe another member can chime in here & shed some light..................... How 'bout it! Anyone ???????
Well, not to confuse you but...Originally Posted by bogger01

-if it is the 2nd generation single shot then it would have a screw spacing of 4.275". These came in both blued and stainless.
-and last but not least, the LRPV 3-screw target action has a screw spacing(front to rear) of 4.400".
Do you have the action in hand or just trying to buy one online or something?

P dog, Thank you my son :D The historical references are appreciated. I measured my action screw spacing at the stock rather than dis-assembling & measuring at the action. So your figure could very well be more accurate. Nice to be among such knowledgeable people! Dale
