You really don't have a choice if you shoot .308 in the 110 BA there isn't a magazine available to feed it, unless you want to go bending the feed lips etc.

Could you take a $2000 110 BA in shoot .308 through it? Sure. If you can afford a 110BA, you should be able to secure a second rifle so you don't have to swap all the components each time you want to change chamberings. If you want to shoot 308 to save money over the 300WM (you can save about about 25-30% ) on powder then get a 10BA (but wait til the new one ships with the PRS ). IF you want to save money over shooting .338LM , which would be a pretty good savings, then you can afford to shoot 338LM which means you have the money and should already own a 10BA or something similar.

I had both. I still have the 338LM 110BA. I have plenty of other .308's that match the performance of the 10BA and the fore-end "rang" which bugged me so I sold it.
