Hello
Keep an eye on Gun Broker.i bought a savage FTR trigger last week for 15 bucks.the 6oz one with red trigger saftey.when i talk to the guy he said he had two of them.and he would throw both in the box.i recieved them yesterday.Put one in my VLP.and put the other in my buddys BVSS.talk about a nice trigger.i set them both at 10oz. (15 bucks beats the price of aftermarket triggers.and the accu trigger will fit pre accu trigger rifles.) shop around some.they are easy to change.only one pin to remove.
I'd be willing to bet you have a 3 screw trigger. I've had very good luck with them.Originally Posted by ig25
Replace the wire spring and set the rest of the trigger screws. Make sure you put something on the screws to keep them in place afterward.

rum is new enough it may not have a screw under the sear. It is another option though for you.

one of the members just posted this picture of a older factory trigger with the 3 screws. You can also see the wire spring that was mentioned.

Contrary to popular belief it can be done and is usually vary easy. I have done it 8-10 times for myself my dad, brother, and friends. Usually it is a drop in and adjust the safty deal but sometimes depending on the generation of the action it can be a little more difficult.
But of corse just like changing a barrel. Do not do it unless you are a gunsmith.
