My guess is some custom powder, that only they have. Much like all ammo manufactures.
does anyone know what powder Federal puts into their .308 cal 168gr. match ammo
My guess is some custom powder, that only they have. Much like all ammo manufactures.
Someone was selling some of that Federal match ammo on our canadian forums: $500 for 300'ish rounds. It's half the reason I started loading.
At one time (and perhaps still), non-canister 4895.
I would say it is "4895-ish" but the ammo manufacturers don't use the same formulas you buy in a 1lb or 8lb container.
Don't have the Federal ammo BUT have all the components needed, Fed Gold Medal Brass in 308 and 30/06, Primers, And Sierra 168 and 175 match kings just got to know what the power that is used.
do a duplicate load type search on snipers hide, there is several threads on it.
44gr of varget on a 168 shoots the same out to 300yds or if you are using a progressive re-15 at 43.6 works too, my hands loads are varget, but when it comes to ar-10 fodder i set up the dillon and use re-15 because it meters better...
God still loves you, yep even on them days....
