The PPC has its own bolt head of roughly .450”+/-. It’s the same as the 7.62x39 Russian Bolt Head. The 22-250 uses the standard bolt head. (Too large). And the 223 is two sizes under.
Would like to rebarrel my 12 vLP to 22 PPC. Have .223 and 22-250 boltheads. What would I need? Also need a source of ammo or brass Any problems to look out for. Thanks for any help.

PPC uses a .445" bolt face, which can be made from the .223 bolt head. You'll need .220 Russian brass and it won't be available till July '24. You may want consider a 22 BR. It would use the .22-250 boltface, and 6 br brass is out there.

People have used standard bolt heads, but this the correct one. https://www.gunshack.com/savage-part...ead-right-hand They are two different sizes.
Edit: I forgot this bit but I actually agree here. The 22BR or even stick with 6BR, is IMO, a better choice for the same reasons listed above. Can use your existing bolt head without any changes, and good Brass is available.
