We went back out this AM and I picked up this 6 pointer. He saw two mature bucks chasing does and sparring, but could get a good shot.

Good looking healthy bucks. Congratulations!
Nice bucks! Does look like a couple of good days.
I tagged another 6 pointer this morning. I was hunting from the ground in some oaks.
He walked up to within ten yards of me and never knew I was there. I watched him for several minutes and almost decided to let him go, but then decided to go ahead and do the deed.

Tucker, those are some dang nice deer your getting down there. Must be those acorns that help them grow antlers like that. Do you weigh them, just curious what they are weighing in at.
How many bucks are you allowed to kill, we are only allowed 2 where I hunt and they have to be 13 inches inside spread by law.
We get three here.
Also get a gaggle of antlerless tags and can buy even more.
I had a very nice bear ease by me through some thick stuff at about 35 yards this afternoon, but I couldn't get a clear shot.
THAT would have topped off an already awesome year!
No idea on the weights. Guessing 150-165.
We gutted the last two to make the drag out a bit easier.
I left Va in 1992, but at that time you were allowed 2 per day, 3 per year,& the hunting season ran almost all fall until Jan 1.Originally Posted by bbradford71

and the wonder why the deer population is out of control. ::)

We do have a long season with high limits here, but the population continues to soar in urban areas. The body shops love them, but they're about the only ones that do.
what part of Va you in?
