Plenty of parts on Ebay, should be an easy conversion. The trigger!! Just try to de-burr/polish the parts otherwise good luck with it!

I have a 340 carbine in 30-30
Just wondering if it is possible to convert it to 222 Rem
with a barrel, Magazine and maybe a bolt head?
Anyone ever done this ?
Also any information on improving the triggers on these rifles ?

First, IIRC the 340's were a one piece bolt so you would need a complete bolt assembly, not just a bolt head. Second, the barrel would have to be custom made as a 110 pre-fit wouldn't fit. in the end you're going to have a lot more money sunk into the rifle that it would ever be worth. Cheaper to just go out and but a new Model 25 in .222 Rem.

Or go find a 340 or 840 in 222 rather than rebarrel. They aren't that hard to find on gunbroker and other sites. Not expensive guns, probably cheaper to buy one than rebarrel one?
