Just a matter of luck of the draw when it comes to the amount of figure in a given stock. Only one's that got "select" stocks were the limited edition Anniversary models.
I bought this a few years ago, the dealer thought I made a mistake when i said I wanted a 250 Savage and not a 22-250.
The wood on this a very nice, I wonder if the Savage caliber rifles are hand picked or if all the 14 models had nice wood.

I've got a 114 American Classic in 270 Win. It too has a beautiful stock. Not quite as much grain figure as yours, but still pretty none the less. That's the thing with wood. Each piece is different.
Same as people. That's what makes wood interesting.
