I recall (somewhat) Stan discussing the 284 and how certain brass would be a better choice than another due to the chamber dimensions and dies available, a little above my pay grade perhaps you could expand on that topic.

I do my own chamber dies, and use Norma brass. Some guys have claimed to
have problems with Lapua brass because Of a thicker base dimension. The Norma
brass is also on the thicker side but works good with my chamber. Problems
generaly noted are from tight match reamers, then that person not using the
correct sizing die.
