That powder is kind of fast eh? I was thinking the burn rate falls closer to the 4350 or 4831 for that bullet but I shoot the 160GK.
Who would complain with about 44.8 grains though. How was the recoil?
280 ackley goodness... Pretty happy.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
WAY fast! 4895 is 223 territory. That’s why your case fill is so low. 280AI should be in the 55-60gr powder case fill range. Even 4350 is a bit on the fast side, but does work. I’ve seen H4831sc being a “go to” for it. Was it you were just using what you had? I know powder choice has been a thing since “Democrat-itis” started. But it’s getting better now.
Yes powders are a problem. Looking at the data I think I will look for some RL26 or h1000 but I had to dig through existing stock for something to work with. That being said, 44.7-45 looks like it is gtg.I'm sure I have some other powders that more might be more suitable. I have some 162 gr ELDx on the way so I may try another powder for those.
This week with imr 4350. 3 shots
I think you have a keeper
Now that’s more like it. Very nice load.
