Why no .223 in the Predator model? Makes no sense. It would be the best seller.

Probably the same reason we don't see any other Savage rifles utilizing an AICS magazine coming in .223 or similar small diameter cartridges. My guess it's an issue with the Savage bolt design not being able to strip off a round from the magazine - same reason Savage can't utilize an AR15 mag for the .223 rifles.
In any event, the .22-250 is a far superior varmint round anyway and is being offered in the Predator model. Unfortunately though it's still the same old ho-hum 1-12 twist rate.
