Did you get a bottom bolt release trigger guard? Here are some examples: http://www.gunshack.com/savage-parts...trigger-guards
I recently bought a McMillan hunter stock for a centerfeed long action. As it was shipping, I ordered the blind mag box and follower for a 7 Rem Mag. The trigger guard savage sent me doesn’t fit the inlet of the stock. The stock seems to be cut for a flat trigger guard, whereas the one savage sent me is, well, not flat. Can anyone assist me? Is there an “older style” I’m unaware of?
PS: I bought the stock second-hand, but was told it would match my action by the seller.

If the inlet for the trigger guard is deep you get the new style. If it is shallow the old style. If I remember there may be two different widths. If you have some calipers measure the depth of the inlet near the fron hole and the width somewhere in the middle. I can measure what I have and tell you what you need.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
