I put a classic scope on my M23 .22 Hornet using the Brownell's mount. I used the existing holes in the receiver and drilled the mount to match the holes. One screw was a 10-32 and the other either a 8x32 or 6x40, I'd have to check. Worked great and I didn't have to drill any extra holes in a perfect action. I my have another mount, I can check later today.
