Good caliber. The Savage has a proper throat, OAL fit and twist so you can squeek 50 fps over the Creedmoor. It's like a 6.5 Creedmore Improved ;-)
Unfortunately, you will not find a lot of factory ammunition available. But LOTS of great brass and bullets for shooting connoisseurs. It's a reloader's caliber. Goes back to the Ken Waters .263 Express from 1955 (.243 WIN necked up to .263"). If only he'd chosen the .264"
