I finally had time to modify the magazine to feed. I only had two rounds to test with, but got both to feed without issue. Field tests still to be conducted.
First step was to lower the front lip of the MDT 223 magazine to fit under a 'chin' of metal below the feed ramp in the magazine well

The bolt was then hitting the rear of the magazine 'lips' and they angled to allowing feeding.

I’ll snap a picture later tonight of the minor mods I had to do on a 5 round p-mag (should work on the 10 rounder as well).
I had to remove some material from the front edge of the feed lips, but not nearly as much as you did on the MDT mag. My Oryx holds a 12FV action in .308 bolt face and it’s feeding .243 rounds perfectly.
this shows exactly where the clearance is needed-
FYI, I had a similar issue with my 10T-SR in 6.5 Creedmoor, and solved it by gluing a stop on the side of the mag to ensure proper alignment in the magwell. https://www.savageshooters.com/showt...-10T-SR-solved
