Not usually as simple installing a can on a barrel that had the muzzle threaded at the factory.
Tenon specs for cans are much more specific than that required for brakes, factory threads may not be Class 3 fit and the tenon may not be the correct length.

Always check a factory threading job against the manufacturer's print to be sure it is withing tolerances, or have a smith/machinist chop off the factory threads and re-work to spec.
A baffle strike is a pretty expensive lesson.
