Beautiful.

Always liked the looks of that pistol (though not a fan of mother-of-pearl grips). It did very well in .45 caliber against the 1907 Colt entry in competition for the Gov contract (that became the 1911). The Savage was more accurate and had fewer parts, but the example jammed more. The Army was undecided between the Colt and Savage as the final two competators and ordered 200 of each for field testing; and for some reason Savage backed out.

The little Kolibri(?) guy is sweet.
