Possibly primary extraction issue.
My bolt is sticking after about 80% of the up stroke and not letting me pull it back to clear the spent round. I can pop the bolt with my palm a few times knock it lose. First happened with steel case and I switched to mil surp brass case and it’s still happening. Any ideas?

Hand loads ?
Maybe to hot?
Will it open after a few minutes of cooling?
The steel cased ammo got you. It has a coating that can and does adhere to the inside of the chamber. You will need to polish the chamber to get it out.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
Try Cleaning with Acetone and a wire chamber brush as this will get it out as well..
IIRC, it is not recommended to shoot steel case (lacquered) cases in a chamber that is not chrome plated. Not sure where I remember that from.
