If you looking for the feel if a target trigger then you will want to replace it. If however a hunting trigger fits your needs then you can tune the existing trigger.
Good advice. There are some things that will make a older factory trigger better. The biggest thing about the non accutrigger is safety.

To make those old triggers work better look at cleaning up the hanger around the pivot pin hole. Shim the trigger to the point it still rotates freely but has no side to side play. Also a .040" -.041" piano wire trigger spring will lighten the pull. Make sure to keep some preload on the spring to maintain contact between the trigger and sear. Always do a bump test. I see people hit the but stock for this but the true test might be bumping the stock from underneath also.
