Expect grouping to get even better after about 100 rounds of barrel break in. My 22-250 loves the 60 grain bullet and groups sub MOA out to 300 yards. Welcome aboard!
Hello all! Thanx for having me.
I'm new to SAVAGE, just bought a Model 12FV in 22-250 Rem. Topped it with DNZ one piece base/rings and Cabelas Covenant 6-24X50. I have a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock I will install just waiting on a trigger guard to be delivered.
Still not sure if I like the scope but I'm really liking the rifle. So far have only tried 60gr Sierra Tipped Matchkings over H380. Every powder charge I've tried with this combo comes in at under 1" @ 100yds with several coming in under .5", and I'm just getting started. I'm excited to see what I can achieve with a little tweaking. Also have some 55gr Varmageddons to play with also.
