My experience was about the same.
I had no problem ordering my 6.5x47L small shank barrel and it was ready quick.
Take care.

I ordered a 6.5 creedmoor barrel from mcgowen at the end of last month to get in on the 15% off sale, and they called yesterday to say it was ready. That's awesome turnaround, they quoted me 6 weeks. And, they had to rent the reamer for the 6.5cm. Should be here next week. Delivered in less than 4 weeks is great, and the price was very good too. Planning to order another one in 308 for my large shank build at the end of this month.

same here ,i ordered a 308 with 1-12 twist and got it in about 3 weeks. will post later the results of the barrels performance.
Placed my order with Dan Wynne on 9/2/2010 for a 25" Bull SS 1-7 .223 Wylde throat spec'd to a dummy round. On 9/24 Dan contacted me for payment and shipped that same day. I expect it to arrive any day now. I'll update as the build progresses.
I have had similar experiences with Mcgowen barrels. I have 4 barrels, two mounted right now. a 243AI sooting .25moa- a 6 x 47 lapua shooting .75moa.
That is amazing. Shortest wait time on the planet. :D
just a follow up report on my 308 1-12 twist 22' barrel from mcGowen, went out to the range with some reloads that i have been very pleased with 150 hornady sst/ 45 gr. varget c.o.l 2.80 thse rounds shoot .5 groups all day long @ 100 yards. very pleased with the McGowen will purchase more in the future.
Very fast turn around. I'm at the six week mark now waiting on a 223AI barrel fron Sinarms.

My McGowen took six weeks on the nose. I'm finding out the McGowen can make a barrel and ship it out before some vendors will ship "in stock" parts. Crazy.
