Welcome aboard
After 50+ years of firearm ownership and hunting, I finally bought a M99.
I always thought they were kind of the "Ugly Betty" of the rifle world.
Then I broke down when I found a nice one born the same year as me (1957).
Once I got it in my hands, I realized there was something to these rifles!
Shot it last weekend and now I want another! :)
Hope to get her out again this weekend, along with a few others.
Looking forward to learning more about these unique rifles...as they say, better late than never!

Well, I just bought number 2...
This one is from 1953 and is a 300 Savage.
I already have about 400 cases and a set of dies. Rifle will ship after the Christmas holiday to avoid the black hole!
I am really lousy with my nomenclature...not sure which sub-model this is. It has the peep sight and the schnabel forend.
61.8 years without a 99 and now in less than 2 months, I buy 2 of them!

Congrats on your 99s! I have a basic scoped 99, 60's vintage in 243 Win and it shoots nice!
