Tried to do a angled bolt handle. Where the angle was made into the base of the handle, it looks nasty in the handle slot. Can't change it now.
The handle is not as big as it looks in the picture. But it is a little too long.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
It still fits in the channel
You could open it up a bit to even things out but then you would have to match the stock finish which could be interesting.
Does not look bad at all! Did you make that yourself?
Time to break out the die grinder and the bondo! Open the rear of the slot up for clearance, then use the bondo to fill in a little of the front side of the slot so the gap is evened out. Lightly scuff the rest of the stock with 400-grit, spray on a fresh coat of Krylon Fusion and call it good.

Got any desire to start making/selling just the threaded rod?
I like it too, nice work!!
I'm not sure what good that would be for anyone. You still have to mill drill and tap the base.
This particular one has an aluminum knob with a piece of 5/16 drill rod drilled out to .255 and a long cap screw holding it all together.
Nobody has even asked about the BAS.

I like it!
What about that BAS? Is there a bolt lift kit in there?
Banning a gun will not solve what is a mental health crisis inflamed by incendiary rhetoric on social and television media. The first amendment in this case is less precious and more likely the causal factor than the second amendment.
I like it. I've been looking for something like that for a while now. But, I always liked the look of the Remington bolt too.
I did a swept back bolt handle once, seemed pretty cool until I tried to shoot it. The bolt knob was pushing right into the knuckle of my trigger finger, and without realizing it, it would lift the bolt slightly. I don't like things that crowded.

I agree Fred, even worse when it is too long. I started welding a 3/4" ball on the drill rod running it straight out. My favorite has always been the ones you sell however. Near perfect ergonomics and the right leverage.

Hmm, the pic isn’t appearing for me Robin. I really want to see it.
I don’t see it. Just a little square box. What picture host is it? I’m using ImageBB now.

Well the handle looks great. I didn’t even notice the stock channel at first. I was thinking “what’s wrong with it?” Had to re-read the problem before my eyes picked it up.
But I get it...those among us who make anything, are always the one to over scrutinize even the smallest of defects! We SEE things it seems, that no one else does! LOL. Nature of the beast.
Looks great to me!
Thanks for all of the kind words and encouragement.
