Savage uses an odd-ball thread size for the rimfire action screws IIRC. Best bet will probably just be to call Savage - they may even send you one for free.
i have misplaced or lost the short action screw on my B22, i thought i would find it, but no luck, i am curious if anyone knows the thread size, it's not 1/4" seems to be a 12-24 wonder where i can dig them up other than savage.

They are actually 12-32", very hard to find even at specialty fastener places. Best bet is Savage.
