I have had one for years in .308 that's a great shooter. I mainly hunt mine and love the way it handles in the field.
I've had good luck with most of my Savage rifles (the Mk II in .22LR and 93R in 17HMR) and sold my AR-15 to free up some funds for a bolt rifle in .223. After reading some reviews I decided the Precision Carbine was the way to go. Anyone else have one in .223?
I had an Axis II in .223 some years back and never quite got the groups I was hoping for, even with a Boyds stock. I'm hoping I have better luck with this rifle. I shoot mostly from a bench to 200 yds, although I also hope to do some long range shooting and varmint hunting.

A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.
