Hello I am sorry if this has been asked before but I am getting conflicting information. I have the 110 engage in 308. I have read the 110 means it is a long action. And a model 10 would be short action. But other places are saying it's still a short action. So I am a little confused. Thanks in advance
I believe now the best way to know is to call them and ask or measure the distance center to center on the action screws.. I dont remember off the top what the measurements are but I'm betting someone will follow up to this with the info:)

You have a short-action, 4.40" action screw spacing.
As Ted pointed out Savage has recently gone back to the "one model number designation for all" system like it originally was from 1958 thru the mid 1970's with everything being a Model 110. Same as Remington has always done with the Model 700. Same as Winchester has always done with the Model 70.
From the mid 1970's thru 1997 all models still had three-digit model numbers whether they were short or long-actions, but there were multiple numbers (110, 111, 112, 114, 116).
From 1998 - present (the changeover is still in progress) Savage used the two-digit/three-digit system to differentiate between short and long actions. This is because 1998 is when Savage came back out with a true short-action receiver which bore the two-digit designations.
In the long-term this change will make things easier, but here in the short-term it makes it confusing as all get-out for those new to Savage as there are still a lot of offerings using the two-digit/three digit designation system.

So if i am understanding correctly. It would a be a short action. I was looking at getting a new stock. I think my best bet is to call the company instead of just ordering online.
Gentleman earlier pointed out 4.40 inches from center to center of the action screws is short action. If you have reservations on measuring that then yes, calling savage would be the best way probably.. I think he may have also been telling you that you have a short action.. :) I could be wrong on how I read what he said

Oh no I got what he said :) I meant the stock maker. Since the short action says it's for a model 10
The actions are the same a short action 4.40 spaced 10 is the exact same as a 4.4 space 110. The big concern here would be top or bottom bolt release IMO.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
I take it bottom bolt release? It's directly in front of the trigger guard
Yes. This makes a difference in the inletting
