My apologies, I did not make myself clear. My concern was the length of the chamber. When I did the test load, the 55gr JHP BT w/cann, seated to a point where the top of the case (1.750") was halfway between the tail and the cannelure, an OAL of 'bout 2.284 necessitating a substantial jump. My question was/is, is this a normal chamber depth for an Axis? Ironically enuff, the 1/2 MOA I shot with my reload was a Horn 50gr SP. I may man up and spend a few bucks for some high 60, to low 70gr to use the 1/9 twist a wee bit farther out.
