Not an answer, but a question. Which Weather Warrior do you have? I want to get one before all the new ones are all gone.
I want to buy a new 110 storm in 270wsm, it has the heavy barrel I like that a lot, it the one savage is replacing the weather warrior with, I really like my weather warrior has anyone used a 110 storm and how do you like it ???

Mine is a 116 caliber 6.5x284 Norma I don't think I have every had a better gun !!!!
The 110 Storm has a Accufit-Accustock and thus a custom fittable stock and a new trigger guard design. I think it feels and handles better than older WW Accustock.
Thank you for the reply ip I know I said I was wanting the 270wsm, but I think I will go with the 7mm mag, I do hunt over a bean field !!!
If Savage Arms will ever release it, the 110 Storm in 280AI would also be nice. I’ve got a 280AI built on a Savage LWH action with 23” lightweight barrel. I get 7mm RM listed factory load MV with less powder and recoil.
Well when it came right down to it I could not put 116 WW down an go with a new rifle, I am going to stay with my old friend !!!!
I've got one in 6.5CM with the 22" sporter barrel (Sku 57077) and I'm happy with it.
After some tinkering (tuning action bolts and fixing a spot where the barrel was touching the stock) and a few rounds of load development I'll get 0.75" 5 shot groups @ 100 yards. I don't shoot that well every day. Sometimes I'll get 1.5" 5 shot groups depending on the day.
I was consistently pinging a 12" plate at 550 yards . Moved out to 600 and dropped down to about 80% hits and out to 650 where After 8 rounds I gave up because the wind was blowing through a canyon in all different directions. I wasn't really shooting slow enough to let barrel cool off for any of those tests--and I should have. I'll have to give it another try on a calm day.
Either way It does what I need it to do and it buy it again. If I wanted to shoot little groups at long distances and I didn't care about weight or money maybe I'd consider the long range hunter.

What are you considering a heavy barrel? It's a magnum contour, which is thicker than the sporter contour, but it's not nearly as big as a varmint contour. Just want to make sure you're not expecting it to be a varmint profile, because it isn't if that's what you're looking for. As for the Accu-stock, I've got a newer 110 LRH with it. I haven't shot it yet, but I like the feel of the stock and the ability to adjust it.
