It's not a deal breaker, just a feature worth mentioning. You can also use the oppose hand to slide the safety off (it's light enough you can easily support the rifle with the pistol/thumbhole grip. The stock itself is a delight to carry and shoot and well matched to the Trophy Hunter action and light barrel.

I don't regret it, but I will say there was an "Oh Poop" moment when I first got set to shoot that first shot from a table after swapping the action. I've used many pistol grip stocks before but the safeties were not at the tang.

It's a natural flow from flip the scope caps, slide the safety and let out half a breath.
