IMO you're changing enough stuff that starting with a different Axis that only requires a barrel change would be a better start?
all you're re-using is the receiver & bolt body
Hi- I just bought a couple axis 223 and was wondering if I can or what is required for the conversion to 450 bushmaster?
I know I will need the barrell and a bilt face/head ? is there a change to the magazine or is a different mag required?
I also knw the stock would likely need work or replaced... Am I missing anything in my head?
I thank you in advance!!!!!

Likely all you'll need is a bolt head, barrel, and magazine (or modifications to your magazine). I'll second Bottleneck Jimmy, I'd start with a .308, 7-08, .243, or other short action 308 mag axis, as those rifles should only require a new barrel.
I never got 450 Bushmaster to feed in any Axis mag and ended up scrapping the project. I came across a good deal on a Ruger American in that chambering for $350, as I recall. It was a much better solution than pouring more of my effort into the Axis.
I'd still totally screw around with 45 Raptor in an Axis if it ever became a factory round.
