That'll work. What scope do you have on there?
Went out to do some load development for another rifle this morning, but took the 243 heavy barrel with. I only had ammo loaded for one group but she is still shooting good.

And the exploration continues. Tonight I loaded up some 95gr sierra match kings. I'm also trying our some sig brass. I've loaded up 42 of them with a middle charge to get the brass fire formed. I'll report back on how these perform before I start my load development. (They are the standard match king not the tipped match king)

Was able to get out and fire form the sig brass with the 95gr smk. This was the best group I got with it today. I see some potential with this load but I'm going to quit using h414/w760. Going to try some extruded powder next time around. Also included is a pic of a 95gr smk vs a 87gr vmax.

Was able to get out and shoot some more groups with the no developed 95gr smk. Excited to see how they will perform with some real load development. Also shot off a folding table in 31 degrees Fahrenheit

As of yesterday this build thread has come to an end. The barreled action was sold to fund my new project. I picked up a savage axis II xp preditor chambered in 223 from Walmart and swapped that in to the Boyd's pro varmint. This is the Walmart exclusive 223 heavy barrel with accutrigger model.

Savage has a Kick@ss 223 reamer/barrel setup. I had my 223 12fv out today, crazy what a factory gun can do. Hope yours is a shooter.
I love my Walmart special in .223. It also wear's the Boyd's Pro Varmint. If I do my part it is a .5MOA rifle. Soda cans at 400yd is almost too easy.
Thanks I don't know if I will start another build thread for this one just do to the fact that its litterly the same rifle just in 223 with an accutrigger. I might do a load development progress thread though. I plan to push the twist rate of this rifle to see how heavy I can go with the bullets.
