Good call.
Got an email from McGowen that they are now offering Savage style barrels and nuts for Howa and Howa built Weatherbys'. I'm thinking they'll work on the old S&W rifles too. This opens up a whole new world to anyone with a Howa that would like to change barrels and DIY.

Good call.

Seeing that Howa makes a fine action, this is good news. For Vanguard owners too.

My old shooting partner has a factory one in 30-06. Great shooter and cycles very smoothly.
Sounds good! I like it! I've heard alot of good about the Howas. Only one I've messed with is my Wby Vanguard. It's feels good and shoots well.

I have a 257 Wby Sub-MOA that is almost shot out, so this is great news. I'm thinking about either staying 257, possibly going to 270 Wby or going all in and making a 33 Nosler. So many options now.

Them things can take an act of congress to get the barrel off. Better have a real good action wrench and barrel vise, or do a relief cut on the lathe.
good to know
