Try Outback gun parts or Jack First gun parts, they might have an original in stock.
Anyone have / or know where I might find a Butt Plate for my Savage 29b? Real would be great but would be happy to settle for a reproduction. I ordered one from Numrich but the one that they sent is not even close to being the correct size.
Thanks in advance for all responses!
Bob

Savage- "never say never".
Numerich Arms has generic import knockoffs. They require fitting and were reasonably priced.

The Wheeler jig for fitting is fairly awesome. It was lots easier to do this project for the 29B and another old timer than I would have believed possible. My work is almost undetectable vs. original, and I've only done two so far. Then again, I'm fairly handy in the workshop.

It really helps to have access to a belt &/or disc sander with a platen when using this tool. A buffing wheel makes life easier but is not required.

Sometimes you have to think out of the box when you can't address the wheel properly, but I've always managed.

Not sure what these fit, but from the measurements given I'm hoping it fits my 775A shotgun. Looks like he has several available.
