Congrats and welcome from Gettysburg Pa
I was a teenager in the 60's and shot small bore and service rifle, muzzleloading, and canon. In the 70's I was a "picker" and made my living dealing in antique guns. In the 80's I gunsmithed full time on collectible guns. In the 90's I gunsmithed part time while I played Paramedic and owned an ambulance company. Since 2000 I've dubbed at the gunsmith thing and my son joined me in our gunsmith company in 2007. (I am not looking for work from forum members!) I'm no longer able to manage much recoil so I'm getting interested in the 6.5's; I currently own a couple 6.5 Swedes and just purchased a 16/116 in 6.5 Creedmore. It's been a while since I've owned a 110 platform rifle and I must say my initial impression is that Savage is building a lot of gun for the price these days- I sure hope it shoots. IrishFritz

Welcome aboard. We who are actually old are glad to see some youngsters like yourself who are only "getting old".

As my late 99 year old mother-in-law loved to say:"Getting old is not for sissies."
