Welcome to the addiction...
I have had my 12fv to the shooting range twice now and have put about 50 rds of hornady 100gr. btsp through it.I used leupold standard base and rings and a leupold vx3 4.5 x 14 x 40 with a cds dial.I have had several custom remington 700's and this gun outshoots them all.I shot four groups of three shots at 100 yds.First group could be easily covered with a dime second group covered with a nickle< but i know i pulled the second shot > and the last two groups could be covered with a dime.I love this rifle and the coyotes better be scared!

I have to jump in on the 12fv. I have about 3 weeks on my .223. and it is a real shooter. I am amazed by this gun. .4's are the norm. Shot a 300 yard .8 on sunday with 75gr Amax. This is really a fun gun. Nice Job Savage. thanks rc
Own the Savage 12FV in 22-250 and it is a coyote killer. At last count 56 very dead coyotes at ranges from 30 yrds to 383 yrds. Over half of them between the 250 and 325 range. All of this using the winny white box 45 gr. round. It is a real tool to drop coyotes.
My 12 LRPV in .223 loves the WWB stuff. It has shot better than any match ammo I've run through the rifle. The second best is American Eagle 5.56. It's weird when the cheaper ammo shoots better. It doesn't hurt my feelings a bit. But the cheapest of the cheap, Wolf, isn't worth a darn in my rifle. It's like shooting a shotgun when I shoot that stuff.
