Barrel and muzzle device are the only parts different between a .223 upper and a .300 AAC upper. The receiver, BCG, gas system, etc are all the same.

Thanks, that's what someone had told me earlier, that will make it somewhat easier on the budget! Just a barrel and I should be good to go, well, plus optics now, but I can put that upper money into that instead.
