You can either change the recoil lug to the non-accustock lug, or bed the recoil lug area of the stock to your accustock lug. When I did my 338, I chose the second option.
I have a 116 trophy hunter xp in 300 win mag, and I want to get rid of the tupperware stock. I would like to put the bell and carlson savage stock on it. I know I'll have to get new bottom plastic for the axis style magazine. Will I also have to change out the recoil lug since the trophy hunter recoil lugs are a little longer?

I have the longer recoil lug since I have a trophy hunter model. I was just curious about whether or not I would have to inlet the B&C stock to accommodate for the longer recoil lug compare to the accustock recoil lug.
