Has anyone here gotten an E.A. Brown Savage Pre Fit Match Barrel
HAD one, what do you want to know?
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
Are they worth the money, the barrel i wanted is a 6.5 Creedmoor is back ordered not sure if i should cancel and order a different barrel
Waiting for my new barrel a 6.5 Creedmoor prefit from Gun Shack also waiting for bullets and cases all this for my 110 Ba rifle.
Looks like another happy man
I'm VERY HAPPY BUT my wife is a little upset about the money, BUT told her is CHEPER than a new rifle!!!
Wife won't drink but on her Birthday, barrel came is beautiful in SS realy wanted a nice Blue but can't have everything
I am always amazed the influence women/wives have post purchase.
"Honey, I'm going to buy some parts for my toy."
"How much"
"Sweetheart, I think we can afford it."
"Ok, but stay on budget"
"OK dear"
Done deal.
Anything else, Turn in your man card.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
Worth it is a tough one to answer for you. The one I had shot perfectly fine however. The "less expensive" barrels tend to accumulate copper fouling quicker than one you paid some schmoe to hand lap with unicorn tallow. But I'm not convinced that they will shoot enough better for the vast bulk of the masses to actually notice. If you expect a single hole at 1K, when using your firends uncles neighbors handload, then probably not. If you can load, test, and find what this barrel likes; you'll be fine, based off a sample size of 1.
